So, I'm waiting for the arrival of the bike. I've never tracked a package this often. It's due to arrive tomorrow, which is good to know because I really need to do my accounting and my taxes tonight.
To amuse myself during the Bachelor last night, and to put obsessive thoughts about receiving my bike out of my mind, I decided to take all of my clothes out of my closet, organize them into outfits, and take a photo of each outfit, with it's corresponding jewelry. My closet looks amazing, and getting ready this morning was as easy as putting together on outfit W-G-B. That would be Work-Green Top-Black Dress pants. Like this:
Now that's I'm promoted to Editorial Director, I'm working on dressing the part. No more jeans at work, unless it's my fancy Ann Taylor Loft jeans on a Friday, with a work appropriate top, maybe a jacket, and of course, jewerly,
This exercise in clothes rearranging resulted in several good things. First, I pulled about six pieces that just weren't being worn or up to par. Those get donated to Big Brothers, Big Sisters. Next, I created an area for work clothes, an area for weekend clothes (hello skinny jeans!), and an area for clothes that won't get destroyed if I wear them around my boyfriend's adorable and yet white-hair shedding boxer.
The work clothes have black hangers, the weekend clothes have blue hangers, and the puppy clothes have red hangers.
In addition, putting together my outfits made me realize that I bought too many clothes at sales this year (I have too much, which makes me feel uncomfortable), that I should never buy jeans that give me a muffin top even if they fit great in the legs and rear, and that I'm missing a couple of key items, mainly a couple of more camis, a fitted black sweater, a beautiful blue necklace with some dark blue in it, and another pair of great heels. Not too bad, right?
